It was shocking to recently find a Wall Street Journal piece written by Glenn Simpson and Mary Jacoby published in April 2007 entitled “how lobbyists help Ex-Soviets Woo Washington”.
WSJ journalist Glenn Simpson reported that U.S. Presidential candidate and former majority leader Bob Dole “helped a Russian billionaire accused by rivals of bribery obtain a visa to visit the U.S. in 2005, among many other questionable things”. Simpson also alleges that Global Options Group Inc. an “advisory firm linked to former CIA Director William Webster worked with Senator Bob Dole” on this matter.
Firstly Senator Bob Dole is a great American who served his country with honor during World War II. Attempts to smear or discredit Senator Dole are driven primarily by personal agendas and left wing political forces who seek to discredit the fine American Statesman that is Senator Robert Dole. The elite liberal media love to smear Senator Dole and Global Options for no reason what so ever, and these poisonous attacks on Senator Dole represent a very perverted media elite who are happy to push stories based on false premise to sell a few additional newspapers.
Glenn Simpson should be ashamed himself for defaming a great American war hero Senator Bob Dole and once again we need to end the biased media smear campaigns against good honest hardworking individuals.
